Lady Natalie B. Smith and her family joined Union Missionary Baptist Church in 2004 under the direction of Dr. Larry D. Walston, Sr. During her tenure, she served in various ministries such as: Youth Missionary Department, Youth Sunday School Facilitator, Vacation Bible School Facilitator, Marriage Ministry and served as an Usher. In August 2008, her family relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia where they joined Piney Grove Baptist Church under the direction of Dr. Todd C. Davidson, Senior Pastor. She played an active role in Children’s Church services, teaching youth, Usher Ministry, and Marriage Ministry. She and her family relocated back to Jacksonville, North Carolina in August 2011 where she continued her service to the Kingdom with the Union Missionary Baptist Church. In November 2015, Lady Smith joined the Board of the Shepherds of the Community Ministry under the direction of Reverend Doris Petteway, Pastor of Moses Temple (NG) AME Zion Church.
Lady Natalie B. Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton H. Major of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Bizzell, Jr. of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She is the wife of Reverend David L. Smith of 20 years. She is also the mother of five and grandmother of two.
She is a graduate of Southwest High School, Jacksonville, North Carolina. She has earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business Administration from Coastal Carolina Community College, Jacksonville, North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.
Lady Natalie B. Smith believes women have a responsibility to seek God first, love others, remain humble, and serve the Lord. She also believes the church has a responsibility to provide a clear Vision, Mission, and Christian Education to its members and non members alike in order to facilitate spiritual growth. Lady Smith enjoys serving God’s people, spending time with her family, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and traveling to new destinations with Reverend Smith. Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 27, which states, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
